Elected Fire Commissioners

Fire District 21 has 3 elected Fire Commissioners who are the governing board that establish funding, ensure the operations are being carried out by hiring key personnel (Fire Chief, etc.), administer contracts and assets, set policy and guide strategic planning.

Meetings & Workshops

The Fire Commissioners hold regularly scheduled meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each Month starting at 6:30 p.m.. On even months the meeting location is at Station 50 (McElroy Road) on odd months at the Arlington Heights Improvement Club (AHIC).  The Fire Commissioners may, on occasion, also hold workshop meetings on the fourth Monday of a month, starting at 6:30pm. These meetings are open to the public. 24 hours prior to a meeting an announcement will be posted outside the front door of Station 49 (Arlington Heights) and Station 50 (McElroy Road).  Please select ” Meetings Schedule & Agendas”  for a list of scheduled meetings for the year and to access Agendas and Minutes from previous meetings.
